GNU Emacs development

I look into development process of GNU Emacs and wonders, that all team try to put all available packages inside tree of GNU Emacs. It expand too quickly, and emacs is overbloated by software, that could not needed by many users.
As packager of GNU Emacs in ALTLinux distro, i manually split it into several packages, due old packages in main tree.
I think about package system for GNU Emacs, but does not have time to implementation. It would be very usefull to install and maintain packages independently from main GNU Emacs tree

This is just a test of new blog.
I plan to use it to post information about my works in Emacs, Lisp and Unix's
